“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days." - Joel 2:28-29

Healed from a Panic Attack and a Headache
That was exactly what I was having and in the exact area. Even after he had said that, I could already feel some kind of sense of relief. Then when he wanted the people he called out to go to the back of the room, I was a little too nervous and timid. After I emailed my professor, and she told me to read the prayer email with faith, and I did, I had this sense of almost full relief, and the pain in the top of my head was receding! I must have read that prayer at least eight times. Then I continued to pray further and thank God for my healing. That was my personal experience with God that day. I feel that what God did, truly furthered my want and need for him. Before as I would pray at night, I would almost feel as if I was talking to thin air, not necessarily losing faith, but beginning to feel as if He wasn’t listening, or He wasn’t paying attention. After my encounter, I truly know that He is always with me and never leaves.

Outer Healing and Inner Healing
I have realized that because of this my faith has been restored and I'm learning how to walk in His grace and mercy. Because of the miracles and the prayer God is showing me there is still more to be done with me if I stop holding him at arms length. I feel closer to God than I have in a long time. I am realizing even though I make mistakes, that doesn't mean I lack faith or that I have walked away from Him, just that I am imperfect but He loves me regardless. I keep getting blessed and have realized it's not coincidence; it's time to stop overlooking all the gifts He has given me. There is still so much to be done and I am beginning to feel like it's Ok to ask for more because He willingly gives.
Brianna's Story - Neck and Shoulder Tension
At the end of class I was getting ready to walk out the door when I realized that my friend Kassidy had stopped in the back of the class. I stood there with her because she said she needed to be healed and that’s when my professor came up to me and asked me about my healing experience from last year. I told her I was fine because I didn’t want to think about it anymore but I think she could tell that I wasn’t being honest and so she asked me if I was the one experiencing neck and shoulder tension. I then let my guard down and opened up and said that it was I and that I needed healing. After she prayed over me I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulder, literally. I felt really relaxed and it was a feeling I haven’t felt in a long time.
Lately I had been in a strange spot with my faith. Over the summer being at home and going to my Catholic church at home just made me feel different. Not saying that it was bad but it just didn’t give me the same feeling that being here at Vanguard gave me. After being healed and seeing my friends be healed as well it really brought me back to the Lord, it reminded me why I’m here at Vanguard and why I chose to follow Him. I really feel like this experience changed me because it got me to believe that I can be healed and that God does what He does when He feels that you need it most. Its as though He knew I hit a rough patch in my spiritual growth and He knew this would bring me back.

Callie's Story - Hip & Back Pain and Nerve Damage Healed
I have been struggling with spine and spinal cord/nerve issues for almost two years now and figured that if what I witnessed Friday was true, that it could happen to me too. I decided to ask for prayer for my back. The damage in my nerves is pretty significant and I honestly did not expect much to happen.
The moment we started praying was a moment that really changed my faith in the Lord. I felt this unexplainable rush run through my body starting from my head and traveling to my toes. Tears started to flow from my eyes uncontrollably and I felt wrapped in the love of God.
The pain left my hip and back and I was able to begin to feel touching on my leg which I haven't felt in about a year. My back was radiating heat, a sign that God was at work.
After the prayer, Alexa looked at me and asked if riding horses meant anything to me. I looked at her with tears in my eyes and told her that because I can no longer dance, I want to rekindle my love of horseback riding. She told me that God put an image of me on a horse riding off into the hills in her head. I have never shared that with anyone here at Vanguard, God is truly amazing.
Later that day the pain came back but definitely not as strong as before. I feel like that encounter with God was his way of telling me that he knows my pain and how much of a burden it has been in my life. After all, I had to quit competitive dance because of this injury.
In that moment I felt like God was saying to me "I am walking along side of you in this journey. I know it has been rough but I am here to be your rock and support in the healing process. I will help carry you through the rough times and celebrate with you when it is finally finished. You have done what I have called of you with the talent I have given you and now it is time to rest".
That moment was so powerful to me, and one that will be with me a lifetime. Although I was not healed completely, my faith and trust in the Lord has never been stronger.

Priscilla's Story - Freedom from Back Pain and Pressure
Lately, I have been realizing the power of prayer in my life and the lives around me and I just knew that God would heal my back I just did not know when or how. So going in to my class Friday morning I immediately knew that God was going to heal me. When everyone began to pray over me I immediately felt nothing in my back and was able to move around without any discomfort. God really healed me in an emotional way as well in realizing the pressure and stress I put on myself to do well and succeed.
My professor spoke encouraging words over me that really convicted me. That I need to remember I am valued by God and that he loves me no matter what I do or what I achieve. These words healed a place in my heart that was connected to the stress and pain happening in my spine.
I felt completely healed that day but the next few days I experienced a different kind of pain in my back that wasn't the same but still uncomfortable. I knew that I was healed and wasn't sure what was going on but just continued to pray for complete healing in His timing and remembering that He was in control and has all of the power. Then a few days later I felt no pain what so ever and no discomfort in my spine and I have been able to move around and sleep with no problems.
After going to class again this morning I realized the spiritual warfare that happens over healings and how important it is to recognize the healing God is doing believing that it is real. God is working in my life and in so many of the students lives around me and it is a blessing to see what God can do in Vanguard's campus. Praise God for healing my back completely and setting me free from pressure and performance.
